Heading Detection
The Antares 4G can detect heading (direction) changes using J00–J09 signals. When the vehicle's heading changes by more than a configured threshold, the corresponding J signal fires.
Configuration
Use XAGH:
>SXAGH0{N}1{DEGREES}<
| Field | Range | Description |
|---|---|---|
N | 0–9 | Heading signal slot |
DEGREES | 3 digits | Angle threshold in degrees (e.g., 045 = 45°) |
Examples
>SXAGH001045< ← J00 fires on ≥ 45° heading change
>SXAGH011090< ← J01 fires on ≥ 90° heading change
Query:
>QXAGH0<
>RXAGH001045<
Use in Events
>SED40NA0;J00+< ← Report when vehicle turns more than 45°
Notes
- Heading is compared against the last reported heading, not the absolute bearing.
- The threshold is applied regardless of speed — configure a minimum speed filter with
XAGFif needed.
